Melting Away.

Yesterday, we had the privilege of showing a treasured friend from Vienna around the Victoria Park area of Leicester UK. We mostly walked, but the heat got to my wife and I and we caught a bus home. I managed to get three images with my phone, but this coming Thursday, I will be using film, watch this space. I just wilt under the heat, so I'm cutting this post short, back later.

Using More Film.

Even thought I have some tremendous 3-D apps on my iPhone 12, I'm trying to create more and more stereo using traditional film. This image here made in Great Central Street, Leicester UK is a prime example. And there are many more strips of film I have to scan and put up here on this blog.

A new roll of 127 film is on the way to me as I write, which will be loaded into the 1950's Coronet 3-D camera. There we go, short and sweet this evening. Maybe it's the heat but I need a gallon of cold water to drink - NOW!.

The Heat Is On.

Shooting 3-D today in church and on the way home has yielded some interesting results, not least the finding of a toy Spiderman (minus hands), in the gutter of a nearby road to where we live. He had to be rescued, washed, and photographed in three dimensions.

All this walking and making images, made me perspire a little, for it seems the summer is creeping through the clouds, good news for all us photographers who like and indulge in summer photography.

Later, I went online and ordered a Shanghai 100asa 127 film for my 1950's Coronet 3-D camera, to be developed in Bellini HC. It's late, I'm off to be with a good book and a few podcasts.

Avoiding The Rain.

Where has the summer gone? As I walk around the streets of Leicester (my home town), dodging the downpours, I have been searching for worthy 3D images, mostly using my phone and more of late, using the Coronet 3-D. It's been a bit of a challenge, as I want to try and get some decent 'street photography' images, but had to settle for something slightly less.

However, we are getting there, and with the fabulous i3DSteriod and CrossCam apps, the images seem to be coming. I motor on.

And The Leaves That Are Green.

Our back garden, is slowly but very surely becoming my studio, workshop and darkroom. The latter having come out of the wonky shed and set up (for summer months) in our alley way at the side of our house, I have booked a number of days, staying home, so I can work on my pinhole and 3-D images on film and photographic paper. This year, it's going to be a bumper summer for outdoor work.

Last week I downloaded another 3-D app to my iPhone 12 called 'CrossCam', and I will be exploring its potential this coming weekend, and will blog about it next Monday.

On Friday, July 12, it's 127 Film day, apparently there are three per year, and I have purchased a roll of Shanghai 100asa film to use in my 1951 Coronet 3-D camera. I have tried the film before and been very impressed by the final results. Have a good weekend.
